8 reasons to choose Rekova One
Compression boots, explained
8 reasons to choose Rekova One, and what to check before you buy any compression boots
Air compression boots used to be something you'd only see in physical therapy clinics and pro locker rooms. Today you can order a pair online for anywhere from a couple hundred dollars to more than $1,100. In photos they all look alike. They're not built alike.
Here's how they work, what actually changes from one pair to the next, and why we built Rekova One the way we did. No miracle promises: everything below is a spec, a price or a policy you can check.

First: how do compression boots work?
Each boot is a long sleeve split into air chambers, stacked from your foot to the top of your thigh. A small controller pumps air into them one after the other, from the bottom up. Each chamber squeezes, holds for a moment, then lets go, and the cycle starts again.
What you feel is a firm, rhythmic wave that travels up your legs. You lie down or sit with your legs out, and let it run for about twenty minutes. That's the whole routine.
So if every pair works the same way, what's the difference? Mostly three things: how many chambers each boot has, how much control you get over them, and how wide the pressure range is. That's where our 8 reasons start.
4 chambersFewer, bigger steps
8 chambersMore, smaller steps
8 chambers per boot, where most have 4 to 6
A chamber is one inflatable segment. With eight of them, the pressure covers the same leg in shorter steps: each segment hands over to the next one sooner, so the wave climbs more gradually instead of in a few big squeezes.
For reference, Normatec boots use 5 zones and Therabody JetBoots use 4 chambers.
That's a design fact you can check on any spec sheet, not a promise of results.Every chamber has its own button. No app.
Each chamber switches on or off right on the controller. Skip your thighs tonight, run all eight tomorrow. Only want your calves? Turn off the top segments.
No phone to unlock, no account to create, no update that moves the menus around.
Pressure from 30 to 250 mmHg, adjusted step by step
Start low, go up at your own pace, stop where it feels comfortable. What matters isn't the biggest number on the box, it's being able to find your setting instead of living with a fixed one.
For comparison, Normatec 3 goes up to 110 mmHg and JetBoots Prime to 100 mmHg.

What our first customers say
“Thank you for the reliable customer service, which answered my questions very quickly before I made my purchase. I recommend this product without hesitation.”
Before you buy any pair: a 6-point checklist
- Count the chambers per boot. More chambers means smaller steps between your foot and your thigh.
- Check how you control the zones: on the controller, in an app, or not at all.
- Look at the whole pressure range, not just the maximum.
- Measure your inseam before you pick a size.
- Read the return policy: how many days, and who pays for return shipping.
- Check the warranty, and whether a real person answers your emails.
What a session looks like
- Lie down or sit with your legs straight out.
- Slip on both boots up to the top of your thighs and connect the hoses.
- Choose your zones and start with a low pressure.
- Let it run for about 20 minutes. Stop whenever you like.
